When Kings go to War - Northern Inferno on the Horizon

Smoke covers the northern horizon, an ashen warning of wars to come. Generals muster their forces, warbands begin to move, armouries disgorge their arms as all read the tidings and prepare for battle. Who will reign supreme once the conflict starts remains to be seen, but perhaps you can turn the tide in your favour...

Well that sounds ominous, but what exactly does that mean you might be asking? The answer is another local tournament hitting the Kings of War scene, the third installment of the "Fires of the North" campaign series that has been running out of Ipswich since November 2023. "Smoke before the Storm" and "Ashes of the War Forge" were the first two official installments, both popular ambush events that let the realm of Pannithor come to life at small scale with fast and brutal games.

Unlike it's predecessors, Northern Inferno has upped the scale. With a full 2100 points per side, no longer are skirmishes the aim of the day but full on pitched battles. We're expecting to have a smaller turnout this time around, however that hasn't stopped us from planning for future events to continue to grow steadily larger.

Of course, no tournament is any good without a good venue. And with the newly opened venue at 250 South Station Road in Raceview (Ipswich), the Epicly Restaurant is an excellent venue that gives players plenty of space to enjoy a game and enjoy a meal on their lunch break, or during a game if the desire takes you. Snacks, drinks and proper meals are all available for those with a taste for more than just war.
